Instant Stigmata. A short I made in 24 hours way back in 2002. The lack of energy in the voice over I think gives away the fact that we recorded it in a closet around 5AM and didn’t want to wake anybody up.

Risk Revisited
I played Risk for the first time yesterday in a long time. I was reluctant to play, mostly because I think the game sucks. I was happy to play, as I had just met some new folks that were eager to play and didn’t want to be the surly newcomer. While I did have some fun, my opinion of its suckiness has not changed. Here are the problems I see with Risk.
Tactically Stale - At a tactical level,...

PATA Followup (AKA "Tooting My Horn")
A few days have passed since my PATA audition, and, despite my flip-flopping all of last week about canceling it, I must say I’m glad to have done it. After all, it was on my must-do list for 2008, so I get to cross that off the list. Here are the semi-tangible results of the audition:
I received a very nice and supportive message from one auditor that saw my audition as well as my...

PATA Audition Complete
After a week of thinking about canceling it then being excited about it (and repeating that cycle like I always do), I went to my PATA audition today. Basically it’s a cattle call of actors and casting directors from about 30 ish theaters and agencies. You have three minutes to work your magic. My group was called early which helps eliminate the stress. I walked out feeling pretty positive...

Why I Hate Evite
I received an Evite the other day to a function in which I’m interested and plan to attend. What I did not want to do was play the Evite game. I removed myself from the guest list which resulted in Evite sending a notification to the event organizer. This is one reason (of about seven) why I hate Evite.
There is essentially no privacy in Evite. I can see who is invited, folks can see if I’m...

An Unoriginal Discovery
Okay…the thought came to me on the fly as I was pulling a shot of espresso. Actually just before I was about to pull the shot. I won’t explain the circumstances or even try to claim that this was anything original. It just happened.
Just before pulling the shot, I opened the fridge. I saw the remainder of some whole milk thas was a day from expiring. I pulled it out of the...

Flash Fiction Project
So the folks over at Action/Adventure Theatre are requesting submissions of flash fiction for a project in which artists, actors, photographers (insert artist type of choice) will take those flash fiction pieces and interpret, re-interpret and/or create their own work based on the submitted piece.
The Deadline is June 20. I’ll share my 100 word submission (Stone School Road) when the...

I Bought a Kindle
I bought a Kindle to replace my broken Sony PRS-505. I’m still heartbroken over the loss of the 505, mostly its elegance. It looked like something special. The Kindle…kinda looks like something you’d buy at K-Mart, at first. After a day or so, the Kindle’s own elegance shines through. Why? Ease of use, the Amazon store, wireless downloads combined with what I liked most…reading on an E-Ink device....
