On the Stage
I was in 64 shows this year, mostly on stage with one stint as stage manager. My favorite shows to be in this year were, of course, We Won’t Pay! We Won’t Pay! and The Hiding Place. In the Audience
I saw 40 shows this year, most of them in Portland. I saw a handful down in Ashland and in LA. Kissinger and Ginsberg Chat About Setting Up a...
Kissinger: You can't set limits to human conscienceness but --
Ginsberg: We can try to come to some kind of understanding.
Kissinger: You can set limits to what you say publicly.
Ginsberg: It would be even more funny to do it on television.
Kissinger: What?
Ginsberg: It would be even more useful if we could do it naked on television.
Kissinger: (Laughter)

Small Kitchen? So What? →
Every time I start thinking about replacing appliances and sinking money into my kitchen and its toys, I think of the many times I’ve heard/read Mark Bittman’s advice. The most extravagant things in my kitchen are a Le Creuset Dutch Oven, and a Silvia Rancilio Espresso Machine. The Dutch Oven gets lots of use on weekends (thank you Dolcie). The Espresso machine gets used every morning...
